Insecurity is the body's experience of standing on shaky ground. It's not about lacking confidence—it's about lacking a fundamental sense that you're okay, that you can handle what comes, that you have the right to exist.

This often develops when early caregivers couldn't provide consistent attunement, safety, or validation. Your nervous system learned that the world is unpredictable and you can't trust your own perceptions.

This becomes a bodily experience: the constant subtle contraction, the scanning for external validation, the difficulty settling into yourself. You can't think your way to security—you have to feel it.

Is insecurity the same as low self-esteem?

They're related but distinct. Insecurity is more about feeling unstable or on shaky ground; low self-esteem is about feeling unworthy. We can work with both.

I've always been insecure. Can it change?

Yes. Insecurity is a nervous system pattern, and the nervous system remains plastic throughout life. Genuine security can be developed at any age.

Will I become arrogant if I become secure?

No. True security is actually quiet and grounded—it doesn't need to prove itself. What often looks like arrogance is actually insecurity overcompensating.

What are your fees?

My fee is $175 per 60-minute session. Longer sessions are available and prorated accordingly. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale slots for individuals who need nervous system healing but face financial barriers. If cost is a concern, please reach out to discuss current availability. I don't accept insurance.
