How I got here
I came to this through my own experience. I spent years doing meditation and silent retreats. Some of those experiences cracked something open. Real shifts. But they didn't hold. Things would snap back, sometimes harder than before.
I remember after my first session of Somatic Experiencing® I fell asleep on a train ride home. That might not sound like much. But at the time I hadn't been able to sleep in weeks. Noticing how my body did something on its own without me "trying" was something else.
That stayed with me.
I used to think that going all in, diving deep and doing it fast was good for me. Turns out that meeting my experience moment by moment, at my own pace, was actually way more helpful.
