A Certified Somatic Practitioner for Deep, Body-Based Healing
If you've been searching for somatic support near you, you're in the right place. I offer certified, trauma-informed somatic sessions online—working with your body and nervous system where words alone can't reach.
You're Not Alone
Why People Seek Somatic Work
You've talked about your struggles for years, but your body hasn't gotten the memo
Anxiety, tension, or shutdown live in your body no matter what you understand mentally
You've searched for somatic support near you and found few certified options
You want body-based work from someone rigorously trained, not self-taught
You need online sessions that are remote, virtual, and flexible
You sense that real healing has to include the body
What somatic sessions offer
Somatic work goes where talk alone can't: into the body, where stress and trauma are actually stored. In each somatic session, we track sensations, release held survival energy, and rebuild your nervous system's natural capacity for safety and ease. Everything happens online, and it's every bit as deep as in-person work.
Understanding
What is Somatic Work?
Somatic work is a body-centered approach to healing stress, trauma, and emotional patterns. 'Somatic' comes from 'soma'—the living body. While talk-based approaches work with your thoughts and story, a somatic practitioner works directly with your nervous system: the tension, bracing, collapse, and restlessness underneath the story.
Many people find somatic work after years of talking about their struggles. They understand their patterns perfectly—and still feel anxious, tense, or shut down. That's because trauma and chronic stress live in the body, and the body needs a body-based approach to release them.
I'm a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP)—a credential that requires three years of rigorous professional training in nervous system regulation and trauma resolution. When you're choosing a somatic practitioner, that depth of training is what to look for.
One important clarification: I'm not a licensed psychotherapist, and my sessions are personal development and somatic wellness services, not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. Many clients work with me alongside—or after—traditional approaches, and find that the body-based piece is what finally makes everything click.
And if you've been looking for somatic sessions near you: this work translates beautifully online. Virtual somatic sessions let your nervous system do this delicate work from your own safe space. I serve clients remotely across New York and California.

Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about somatic work and how I can help.
How do I find a somatic practitioner near me?
Certified somatic practitioners are still rare in most areas—but you may not need one nearby. Somatic work is highly effective online, and I work remotely with clients across New York and California. Qualified somatic support is as close as your screen.
Are you a therapist? Is this therapy?
No. I am not a licensed psychotherapist in New York, California, or any other U.S. state. My sessions are personal development support and somatic-based wellness services—not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical treatment. If you're seeking treatment for a mental health condition, please consult a licensed mental health professional. In a crisis, call/text 988.
What certification do you hold?
I'm a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), which requires completing a rigorous three-year professional training in nervous system regulation and trauma resolution developed by Dr. Peter Levine.
Do somatic sessions work online?
Yes. Virtual somatic sessions are just as effective as in-person work—guided body awareness and nervous system regulation don't require physical presence. Many clients find working from their own familiar space actually helps them settle faster.
What happens in a somatic session?
Sessions are gentle and conversational. We slow down, notice what's happening in your body, and work with sensations as they arise. You don't need to relive painful memories—we work with present-moment experience, always at your pace.
What are your fees?
My fee is $175 per 60-minute session. Longer sessions are prorated. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale slots—if cost is a barrier, please reach out. I don't accept insurance.
